Currently, when dimensioning doors in Speedikon, standard dimensioning outputs the structural/rough opening dimensions (Rohbaumaß), with height referencing the top of finished floor (OK FFB) if configured.
However, architectural workflows frequently require documentation of the clear opening / passage dimensions (Durchgangsmaß / Lichte Maße) by subtracting the door frame thickness from the rough opening.
There is a workaround via Macro Customization (it_fb.mcr), modifying macro parameters ABMESSUNG(1) := param(1) - param(4) - param(4), forces the macro to output finished/clear dimensions. However, there are several issues with this workaround:
It permanently replaces rough opening dimensions with clear dimensions rather than offering an optional toggle. It incorrectly shrinks the graphical representation of the rough opening in the model/drawing. Moreover, dimensioning with manual/free points does not automatically capture the clear door height.
The solution could be to:
1) extend macro dimensions to distinctly store both opening values (rough and clear)
2) create a new dimensioning option in the Dialog - In the "Festbemaßung" (Fixed / Automatic Dimensioning) dialog box, add a dedicated selectable dimension point/mode: "Lichte Maße" (Clear Dimensions).
This will allow users to choose whether an automated dimension chain annotates the rough opening (Rohbauöffnung), clear opening (Lichte Öffnung), or both simultaneously without modifying 2D/3D geometry.
This solution eliminates the need for error-prone, unsupported macro modifications across projects. It keeps the true structural rough opening geometry intact while displaying accurate passage clearances and fulfills standard European architectural drafting requirements where both rough and clear passage clearances are required on floor plans and schedules.
