Currently, in OpenBuildings Designer, defining and overriding IFC export mapping parameters (such as types, properties, and filters) can only be controlled by manually editing the raw IFC*.set configuration files. While variables like IFCDIR_SETTING, IFCDIR_PSD, and IFCDIR_PSD4 help the system locate the relevant files, there is no native user interface to manage custom, user-defined Property Sets (Psets) within the IFC Property Mapping tool.Manually editing these text-based configuration files is error-prone, difficult to maintain across large teams, and highly inefficient for complex BIM project delivery requirements where custom BuildingSMART or regional standards must be strictly followed.Proposed Solution:Introduce a native, intuitive User Interface (UI) within the OpenBuildings Designer IFC Property Mapping tool that allows users to:

1. Create and Edit Custom Psets: Visually build and modify user-defined IFC Property Sets without touching raw .set files.

2. Direct DataGroup Mapping: Easily map OpenBuildings DataGroup properties directly to these custom Psets through the new UI.

3. Validation & Preview: Provide a clear overview/validation of which properties are actively mapped before triggering the IFC export.

Business Value:This enhancement will significantly reduce manual configuration errors, streamline the BIM management workflow, and save hours of setup time per project when dealing with custom client IFC requirements. It lowers the barrier to entry for advanced IFC mapping, ensuring better compliance with openBIM standards.
