I was just looking at Revit/Rhino/Grasshopper and they are all linked via a tool called Rhino Inside. https://www.rhino3d.com/inside/revit/1.0/

When revit, rhino and grasshopper are linked, the tool sets are added to each of the 3 applications, making the transition between the 3 easy and powerful.

A lot of Architects are now using Rhino as their preferred modeling tool. Having something like Rhino inside with OBD would be a major benefit.
