For example if we have 5(five) volume files refrenced into to a masterfile and this masterfile is referenced to a mastermodel where you take sections for 2D drawings.

The 2D drawing is cached. When opening this file with live nesting set to 2, the program looks for data in all these 5(five) volume files. The file opening is slow because it needs to read all elements datagroup properties in the 5(five) volumefiles.

But if we reference this cached model into a new file when live nesting is only set to 1, we still get the cached 3D references displayed from the 5(five) volumes, but the program does'nt load the datagroup properties. This increases the file opening speed process a lot, maybe from 45 seconds to 5 seconds. When you only want to populate the drawing with text and send it to the sheet to print.

All the automatic functions should work in the first 2D drawing modell which has live nesting set to 2.
