The CW can not be placed as Cell
The CW object contained in the Cell can not be parametrically flexed after placement. The Grips do present themselves but also do not work.
When the Cell is dropped, the CW object disappears. The hope here is that the un-nested CW would then behave normally, and be able to flex based on changes to its parameters.
When the Cell is placed, it does not retain the ACS orientation. See OBD-I-219
?
This is not expected behaviour, and severely limits the usability of the tool.
It seems like the CW object is not written with a local CS and bases all its calculations on the global CS. See also OBD-I-218.
Please enhance CW code to support Cell workflows, which are the building block for assembly:component, BIM modeling.
How frequently will feature be used? | A few times a day |
How much time will you save? | Lots as panelisation is a common characteristic of building products |
Hi Dominic, We never anticipated this workflow, it has not been tested and we have not made any provision in the code. Have you considered reference files as a container of standardized components?
