All, in OpenBuildings Designer, the location of the component/equipment is based on their connection criteria i.e. if any component/equipment has at least one HVAC connection it is under the Mechanical tab. So, in the case of the chiller, it has only pipe connections. In OBD, disciplines are differentiated by their connection type for Mechanical and plumbing. That's the reason we kept Chiller under Plumbing equipment. We will wait for further user feedback on this topic. The question is if you as a user prefer to differentiate by the connection of an element or by the type of engineer who will be placing this component.
