The process to create a link between an Access database and some datagroup info is painfull at least. Manually editing xml files, making sure everything matches between properties, database columns names, units, making sure we are not using some type of notation that it's not allowed... The whole process should be streamlined with a friendly user interface.

Agreed. Having to do this sort of thing manually is not acceptable in this day and age
