Users would like an option to place cells through the DataGroup enriched placement dialogs (as opposed to Compound Cell Manager or Cells dialog) as Shared Cells. Users have several detailed cells that are used many times in the same model. Without being able to place as shared cells from the DG-enriched placement dialogs, their file sizes are ballooning out of control.

this is possible with the Door and Window tools, so sholdn't be too hard to implement.
I have actually tried modifying the xml file to add .cel as an available type within catalogs and it works so, I dont really see whay there is any debate about adding this functionality
