Some of OBD's Annotation tools date back to the 90s and need to be updated. A lot of OBD's functionality is also based on new Mstn tech like DV callouts (Place Section Callout, Place Detail Callout, Place Elevation Callout, Place Plan Callout, Place Drawing Boundary, Place Title Text).

Mstn CE is also rolling out some powerful properties / model-based annotation tools (Place Note, Place Label, Text Favorites) that should be used to refresh and rationalise Mstn/OBD's annotation toolset.

OBD has accumulated a lot of legacy tools (Label Coordinate: TFPLACE LABEL COORDINATE, DG Annotation Cells: BMECH LABEL TOOL, Symbols: TFPLACE CODED NOTE,NORTH ARROW, DRAWING TITLE, DOOR ID, WINDOW ID, BREAKLINE, REVISION, SPOT ELEVATION, FINISH TRANSITION etc, Keynotes: PLACE KEYNOTE ) some of which very out of place in todays BIM-crazy world.

It would be good to do a cull and refresh using the new Mstn CE tools as a platfrom. See also ORD's new Civils Labeler
