Very old request! Pretty much every other BIM app handles this without any fuss. Not sure why Bentley seems to struggle with this.
We need to be able to extract and report height elevation info based on a user defined coordinate system (usually the 3d Design Model). The spot elevations object need to be able to link persistently to its target geometry (at the subelement level - vertex, edge, face/normal). ORD's Civil Labeler seems to making headway here in the road design space.
