As per the manual (OpenBuildings Speedikon CONNECT Edition Update 4.2) , the export of IFC files can be batch processed by creating a job.lst file in PROJECT\des\bat\COMPUTERNAME\ife\job.ptk
and then running speedm.exe "-mod" "design" "-prj" "project" "-def:batch_mode:301 -wait"
. Currently, speedm.exe
only works by opening up the Speedikon GUI during the batch process. Since it is unnecessary for a user to be involved in the batch processing, it would make sense to have the option of running the speedm.exe
command without opening the GUI, perhaps with an optional parameter flag that can be added after the speedm.exe
command.
How frequently will feature be used? | Several times a day |
How much time will you save? | The additional processing power required to open the GUI would be eliminated, thereby reducing the time to export the IFC files. The intention is for this to run as a background process, frequently exporting IFC files. Opening the GUI so frequently would cost a lot of unnecessary time. |
